After surveying the samples taken from camellia oleifera forests in two counties, four towns, nine villages in Liuzhou city, we found that pest diseases existing in camellia oleifera branches include metarbelidae, camellia oleifera moth, chrenoma atritarsis picard, tea longicorn beetle, catydid, peniophora sp., camellia oleifera tumor disease, parasitic loranthus, herbal tax illus and so forth. The main pest diseases are as follows：metarbelidae and camellia oleifera moth，whose harmfulness is from a moderate extent to a severe one；peniophora sp. andcamellia oleifera tumor disease，whose harmfulness is from a slight extent to a moderate one. This demonstrates that some kinds of pest diseases in camellia oleifera branches severely harm the producing areas of camellia oleifera, all of which should need to be intensively controlled and prevented.
